Berrylicious Breakfast - Fieldfare Finds Frosty Feast in the Midlands!
EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this print captured by FLPA/Mike Lane, we witness a delightful scene straight out of a winter wonderland. A magnificent adult Fieldfare, also known as Turdus pilaris, is caught red-handed (or should we say beaked?) indulging in a scrumptious breakfast amidst frost-covered hawthorn bushes. This charming Eurasian thrush has made its way to the heart of England during December and seems to have found its gourmet paradise. With an abundance of vibrant hawthorn berries adorning the frosty shrubs, our feathered friend couldn't resist diving right into nature's delicious buffet. As temperatures drop and snowflakes dance around them, this British bird proves that even chilly weather can't dampen their spirits or appetite! The cold may have turned their surroundings into a picturesque landscape straight out of a postcard, but it hasn't deterred these resilient migrants from satisfying their hunger. With each juicy berry devoured by our hungry hero, they not only nourish themselves but also contribute to the delicate balance of wildlife in this temperate region. It's truly fascinating how nature provides for all creatures big and small during the harsh winters! So next time you find yourself strolling through the enchanting Midlands countryside in December, keep an eye out for these marvelous fieldfares feasting on frozen delights. Who knows? You might just witness another magical moment like
