With its retro style and antique charm, this engraved image transports us to a world where zoology and art intertwine. The Nightjar bird depicted in this woodcut illustration sits gracefully on a branch at Audubon Park Zoo. Its multi-colored feathers are brought to life through delicate brushstrokes, revealing shades of red that add depth and vibrancy to the scene. As we admire this old science-inspired artwork, we can't help but marvel at the intricate details captured by the artist's hand. Intriguingly mysterious, Nightjars are known for their nocturnal habits and exceptional hunting skills.
