Created on vellum by the talented artist Robinet Testard, this artwork measures 26x35.5 cm and is currently housed in the National Library in St. Petersburg, Russia. Believed to have been made for Louise of Savoy, wife of Charles of Angouleme, this medieval manuscript holds a wealth of knowledge about herbal remedies and their healing properties. The intricate details within the illustration are truly mesmerizing. In the top left corner, we see Convallaria majalis or lily of the valley, known for its curative powers.
