Ship-France

The French prestigious ocean liner " France" is saluted by the crowd, as it leaves the port of Saint-Nazaire, 19 Novembre 1961. The France was a Compagnie Gnrale Transatlantique ocean liner, constructed by the Chantiers de l Atlantique shipyard at Saint-Nazaire. Launched 11 May 1960, it was put into service in February 1962, combining regular transatlantic crossings - six days and nights - with winter cruises, as well as two world circumnavigations. The France was later renamed SS Norway and undertook mostly cruises for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). AFP PHOTO (Photo by - / AFP)
