Then lovely secretary Claire Donovan, arrived. She put on her bikini and sun hat, waded into the pool and climbed on to one ton Humphreys back. He behaved like a lamb and took to Claire for a ride. No doubt Humphrey was the proudest hippo ever, when Claire before she left the zoo gave her sun hat to him. Just to keep him cool. 29th August 1963
