American comedian Jerry Lewis, in London for cabaret season, visited the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith, West London. Jerry is chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of America. A long-time fundraiser for the association, Jerry personally raised $300, 000 for the construction of new muscle research laboratories. During his visit Jerry was presented with a Myometer - an instrument invented at the school to show muscle deterioration, especially in children. 9th July 1975
