Subsequently, Halkett served in the Waterloo campaign, where he commanded the 3rd Division of the British III Corps. After Waterloo, Halkett continued to serve in various military capacities, including as Governor of Gibraltar and as a member of the Privy Council. He was eventually raised to the peerage as Baron Halkett in 1831.
