The Duchess, who was born Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, is shown wearing a high-waisted, waisted dress that was fashionable during the 1810s. The dress features puff sleeves, a lacy collar, and a curly hairstyle that was popular among the Georgian and Regency-era aristocracy. Adelaide is seen holding a pocket book in her left hand and gazing off into the distance with a thoughtful expression.
