EDITORS COMMENTS
In this enchanting photograph, Princess Margaret of Greece and her sisters, Theodora, Cecilia, and Sophia, are captured in a moment of sisterly bonding as they gather for a family portrait. The sisters, all daughters of Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice of Battenberg, were born between the years 1905 and 1914. Princess Margaret, the youngest of the sisters, was born on August 17, 1930, in Mon Repos Palace in Corfu, Greece. She would later marry Prince Philip of Edinburgh, the Duke of Edinburgh, on November 20, 1960, in a stunning wedding ceremony held at Westminster Abbey in London. The eldest sister, Theodora, was born on December 30, 1906, in Athens, Greece. She married Princeynikolai of Greece and Denmark in 1931, but the marriage was annulled in 1935. Theodora later married Count Giorgio Mirabello in 1947, and they had three children together. Cecilia, the second eldest, was born on September 11, 1911, in Athens, Greece. She married Prince George of Hanover in 1937, and they had three children together. Cecilia and her husband were exiled from Germany during World War II and eventually settled in the United States. The youngest sister, Sophia, was born on November 25, 1914, in Athens, Greece. She married Prince Christoph of Hesse and by Rhine in 1937, and they had six children together. Sophia and her husband were also exiled during World War II and eventually settled in the United States. In this photograph, the sisters are seen holding bouquets of flowers, likely taken on a garden visit or during a family gathering. Their elegant dresses and the beautiful setting add to the timeless and romantic feel of the image. The sisters' strong bond is evident as they smile and laugh together, creating a lasting memory of their childhood and their special relationship.
