Born on August 30, 1909, in The Hague, Juliana was the eldest daughter of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Henry of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. In 1937, Juliana married Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, and together they had four children: Beatrix, Claus, Irene, and Willem-Alexander.
