Poster produced for the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote the motor-racing at Crystal Palace on Sat 21 May 1938, and direct trains to the event. The Crystal Palace motor-racing circuit opened in 1937 and closed in 1972. The Sydenham Trophy in this particular year was won by John H T Smith in an MG with an average speed of 52 miles per hour.
