The esteemed military decoration was awarded in recognition of his exceptional bravery and heroism during World War I. The scene unfolds in a grand room filled with an air of solemn importance. A large fireplace dominates the background, casting a warm glow over the assembled crowd. The room is adorned with ornate furnishings, and the atmosphere is one of reverence and awe. At the center of attention stands Robinson, a young and determined pilot from Hertfordshire, England. The Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for valor in the face of the enemy, was bestowed upon Robinson for his courageous actions during a Zeppelin raid over the village of Cuffley. On the night of September 2, 1915, he single-handedly destroyed the enemy airship, despite being severely outnumbered and facing intense enemy fire. His actions saved countless lives and dealt a significant blow to the German air fleet. The photograph captures a moment of triumph and pride in the face of adversity.
