Great moment from Brighton & Hove Albion's away game against Nottingham Forest in the 2011-12 season. The Seagulls made the journey to the City Ground on March 24, 2012, in search of valuable Championship points. The atmosphere was electric, with both sets of fans creating a cacophony of noise that added to the tension on the pitch. Brighton's team that day featured some familiar faces, including goalkeeper Michael Stockdale, defenders Adam El-Abd and Gordon Greer, midfielders Liam Bridcutt and Will Buckley, and striker Craig Mackail-Smith. The team was managed by Gus Poyet, who had led them to promotion from League One the previous season and was now aiming for a play-off place in the Championship. The game started off evenly, with both teams creating chances. However, it was Nottingham Forest who took the lead through a stunning strike from Chris Cohen in the 25th minute. The Seagulls responded well, and they equalized through a penalty converted by Will Buckley in the 34th minute. The first half ended all square. The second half saw more chances created by both teams, but it was Brighton who took the lead through a goal from Craig Mackail-Smith in the 65th minute. Nottingham Forest pressed for an equalizer, but Brighton held on to secure a valuable three points and move closer to the play-offs.
