The house, in Bishopsgate, City of London, was originally the residence of the diplomat Sir Paul Pindar. In the 18th century it became a tavern, the Sir Paul Pindars Head. It was later demolished, although the timber fac ade was preserved and put on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
