East Peckham echoed with youthful vigor as both young and old immersed themselves in the laborious yet rewarding task of hop picking on that unforgettable day - September 1st, 1938. Newington, Kent stands proud as witness to countless stories woven within its fabric; CGH01_01_0651 captures moments frozen for eternity - women hop pickers standing tall against adversity with gas masks over their shoulders.
