Julien Bougle's artistic vision brings forth a captivating image - the human body overlaid with vibrant colored plates, showcasing the complex layers that make up our very own flesh. In a prehistoric scene, we observe nature's cycle as a Tyrannosaurus Rex feasts upon the carrion of a fallen Triceratops, reminding us of flesh's role in sustaining life throughout history. Delving deeper into anatomy, we are presented with an awe-inspiring view of the human foot - its skin, veins, arteries, muscles and bones intricately intertwined to support our every step. Phasianus colchicus decollatus stands before us; its common yet enchanting plumage highlights how even creatures possess their own unique manifestation of flesh. Transported back to 1620s kitchen scenes by Peter Wtewael's brush strokes, we witness cooks skillfully preparing meals using various cuts of succulent flesh – an art form passed down through generations.
