Alexandrina Victoria, better known as Queen Victoria, was a prominent figure in British history. Born in 1819, she ascended to the throne in 1837 at the young age of 18. Throughout her reign, which lasted for over six decades until her death in 1901, Queen Victoria witnessed and played a significant role in shaping the Victorian era. One notable portrait of Queen Victoria was painted by Thomas Sully in 1838. This painting captures her regal presence and youthful charm during the early years of her reign. As an avid patroness of architecture, Queen Victoria inaugurated several iconic landmarks during her rule including Kensington Palace where she resided for much of her life or Royal Albert Hall opened by herself on March 29th, 1871.
