The African Viper, also known as the Butterfly/Rhinoceros viper (Bitis nasicornis), is a captivating creature found in captivity. Its vibrant colors and intricate patterns resemble those of a delicate butterfly, making it a true marvel to behold. In the vast Namib desert of Namibia, another member of the viper family thrives - the Peringueys adder (Bitis peringueyi). This sidewinding serpent gracefully moves across the sandy dunes, leaving behind mesmerizing trails in its wake. Venturing further south into Little Namaqualand, South Africa, we encounter the Namaqua dwarf adder (Bitis schneideri). Despite its diminutive size, this tiny viper possesses venomous fangs that pack quite a punch. Camouflaged within the desert sand of Namibia lies yet another fascinating species - the Peringueys desert adder (Bitis peringueyi). With its ability to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, this cunning predator patiently awaits unsuspecting prey. Deep within Namib Naukluft National Park resides an elusive creature known as the Horned adder (Bitis caudalis). Its remarkable camouflage allows it to disappear effortlessly into its environment while waiting for passing prey. Returning once again to Namibia's Namib Desert, we find ourselves face-to-face with another sidewinding wonder - the Peringueys/Sidewinding adder (Bitis peringueyi). This master of disguise skillfully conceals itself beneath shallow layers of sand until an opportune moment arises. In Tanzania's captive settings dwells one formidable viper - The Puff Adder (Bitis arietans). Although confined by human hands, this snake still exudes power and danger with every flick of its forked tongue. Within Brandberg's arid landscapes in Namibia lurks yet another Horned adder.
