The Litigants (Les Plaideurs). Comedy in three acts written by French playwright Jean Racine (1639-1699). It premiered in 1668 at the Hotel de Bourgogne in Paris and published in 1669. Illustration by Francois Chauveau (1613-1676) for the first edition of the Works of Jean Racine (1639-1699). Engraving. Paris, Jean Ribou, 1676. XVIIme siecle: lettres, sciences et arts, France 1590-1700 (17th century: letters, sciences and arts), by Paul Lacroix. Published in Paris by Librairie de Firmin-Didot et Cie, 1882.
