Situated in the heart of Wimbledon, a district in southwest London, this elegant residence was once the seat of Monsieur Calonne, a French statesman who held a prominent position under King Louis XVI. The print reveals an exquisite example of 18th-century architectural design, with its symmetrical facade, grand columns, and manicured gardens. Monsieur Calonne, a skilled financier and diplomat, was a key figure in French politics during the late 18th century.
