The Avro G, designed by the visionary British aviation pioneer Alliot Verdon Roe and his company Avro, was a significant development in the early history of aviation. This particular aircraft was being assembled for the Royal Flying Corps (RFC), the military aviation branch of the British Army, which was expanding its fleet to bolster its aerial capabilities. The scene at Larkhill, a former military training ground in Wiltshire, England, is one of industrious activity.
