Qingdao (Tsingtao) - port in the Shandong Province of Eastern China - The German Cafe Flossel on the famed shopping street - the Zhongshan Road. China conceded the area to Germany in 1898, and the Kiautschou Bay concession, as it became known, existed until 1914 when the city was captured by the Japanese, who held the port until 1922.
