Framed Print of Milestone in British bus history

Milestone in British bus history. On October 2, 1925, the first bus trip runs with a double-decker bus where the upper floor is covered with a roof. The buses previously did not have a roof. It's bus number 100 which runs the Epping Town to Elephant and Castle route, and people are lining up to board at Leytonstone in east London where the bus stops on its maiden tour. The bus has 10 windows on the new covered upper floor, in total there was room for 52 seated passengers. The bus is of the LGOC model which was originally introduced in London in 1910 and was built and operated by the London General Omnibus Company. That explains the word General which is visible on the front of the bus where the driver sits. However, strangely enough, the driver does not have a cab, but sits completely unprotected from the elements at the steering wheel
