Auguste Amalie de Beauharnais, (1933). Portrait of Princess Augusta of Bavaria, Duchess of Leuchtenberg (1788-1851) with her daughter Josephine of Leuchtenberg (1807-1876). Augusta married Euge ne de Beauharnais, only son of Empress Josephine (de Beauharnais) of France. Augustas daughter Josephine became Queen consort of Sweden and Norway as the wife of King Oscar I. After a miniature of 1809 by Giovanni Battista Gigola. From " Gestalten Der Weltgeschichte", a book of cigarette-card portrait miniatures of figures in world history from the last four hundred years.
