This iconic photograph captures the electrifying moment when Everton Football Club secured their historic victory in the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup Final against Rapid Vienna. In the image, Everton's Dutch striker Pat van den Hauwe and defender Derek Mountfield enthusiastically celebrate the opening goal, which was scored by their teammate Andy Gray. The goal, which came in the 18th minute of the match, put Everton in a commanding position and set the tone for the rest of the game. The atmosphere at Goodison Park was electric as Everton, under the management of Howard Kendall, sought to make history by becoming the first English team to win all three major European trophies.
