Taken by renowned sports photographer Nick Potts during a training session, the image encapsulates Yakubu's unwavering focus and strength as he prepares for the upcoming match. Born on October 22, 1976, in Benin City, Nigeria, Yakubu's football journey began at Maccabi Netanya in Israel before he moved to Portsmouth in the English Premier League. His impressive performances at Portsmouth caught the attention of Everton, who signed him for a then-club record fee of £11 million in the summer of 2003. At Everton, Yakubu became a fan favorite, scoring 41 goals in 102 appearances.
