Midwinter, B. Cowse, R. Robinson, and T.Ward, MDCCXX [Stow's survey of London]. Type: Hand coloured copperplate engraved map. This fabulous map shows the area around Old Street, including Shoreditch and Hoxton. The cluster of streets in the lower left hand corner shows that part of Old Street between Goswell Road and the City Road; Golden Lane, Chiswell Street and Whitecross Street are shown. Other features include Upper Moorfields, Bunhill Fields and Tenter Ground. Shoreditch High Street is marked along the right hand edge of the map, and Hoxton Square is shown near the top of the map, to the right of the title cartouche. © Antiqua Print Gallery
