Mrs Taylor officially opened the towers new luft which rises to 90ft of the masts 1, 084ft. The private fun-day also celebrated mast owner National Transcommunications opening of the new regional operations centre at Emley. The event, which included side-stalls and a five-a-side football competition, raised £ 1, 500 for charity. The money will be divided between Kirkwood Hospice, the local Multiple Sclerosis group and Mencap. 12th October 1991
