Cardiff City - Owner Rick Wright waves to fans at Ninian Park - 17th August 1991. *ONE of the last things Rick Wright ever did was give a uge smileafter learning that Cardiff City were still top of the league. It was, said his daughter, the only place the former owner ever accepted the club being. Wright, chairman from 1992 until 1995, died aged 81 in Brisbane, Australia, yesterday 12 days after suffering a stroke. During his time at the Bluebirdshelm he became a club legend alongside manager Eddie May, who passed away in his sleep aged 68 earlier this year. Wright daughter, Martine Leben, said he had been fragile for the past nine months after a stroke in March. 17th August 1991
