He made his first-class debut for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1896 and went on to represent England in 49 Test matches between 1899 and 1912. Rhodes was a versatile player, excelling both as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. This photograph encapsulates Rhodes' remarkable cricketing abilities.
