This stunning 16th-century print showcases the intricately decorated Vestrys Gate of the Cathedral of Granada, designed and sculpted by the renowned Spanish artist Diego Siloe in 1534. The gate, which leads to the sacristy, is a magnificent example of Andalusian Renaissance architecture and is adorned with exquisite details that reflect the deep religious devotion of the time. At the center of the cornice, the Virgin Mary tenderly embraces the Child Jesus, her protective gaze downcast.
