The Boeing 707-121 was a revolutionary aircraft that made its first flight on February 20, 1957, and marked the beginning of the jet age for commercial transport. N708PA, registered to the United States Air Force, was the very first 707-121 built, and it served as a test aircraft for the military before being transferred to the Civil Aeronautics Administration in 1958. This aircraft played a crucial role in the development and certification of the 707-121 series for civilian use. N709PA, also known as the "City of Everett," was the third 707-121 built and was the first one delivered to a commercial customer, American Airlines, on March 31, 1958. This historic aircraft revolutionized air travel by offering passengers faster and more comfortable journeys compared to the propeller-driven aircraft of the time.
