This stunning image captures Queen Victoria (1819-1901) on the day of her marriage to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha on February 10, 1840. The young queen, who would go on to rule the British Empire for over 63 years, is seen here in her bridal attire, a beautiful white satin gown adorned with a lace veil and diamond-encrusted headdress.
