Georgina Weldon (nee Thomas), born in 1837, was a remarkable and eccentric adventuress, opera singer, and renowned mistress of the famous French composer Charles Gounod. This image showcases Georgina in her prime, exuding an air of mystery and allure. Born into a musical family, Georgina's natural talent for singing was evident from a young age. She made her operatic debut in London at the age of 19, quickly gaining recognition for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence.
