Captured in this evocative image from circa 1910, the ancient Egyptian temple is submerged in the swollen waters, a testament to the might and unpredictability of the world's longest river. Located on the small island of Agilkia in the southern part of Egypt's Aswan region, the Philae Temple is a remarkable archaeological site steeped in history and religious significance.
