The rock partridge is a medium-sized bird belonging to the Phasianidae family, order Galliformes, and class Aves, which includes sauropsids, a group of vertebrates that includes reptiles and birds. The rock partridge is native to Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia, and is well adapted to rocky, mountainous terrain.
