LIBERTY S, Regent Street, London. Exterior view showing the Great Marlborough Street facade of Libertys newly completed Arts and Crafts Tudor style department store. This extraordinary building was constructed in 1922-24 using timbers from HMS Hindustan and HMS Impregnable. It was a remarkable reaction to the early twentieth century vogue for stone dressed steel-framed buildings. Designed by Edwin T. Hall and E. Stanley Hall.
