Battle of Jibaro. General Maximo Gomez seized the village of the Jibaro in Sancti Spiritus and set it on fire on the 21th January of 1875. Taking a large amount of weapons and ammunitions.The battle also took place on the slopes of the Jibaro on 26th of February 1876, attacking General Jovellar with 3, 500 men.
