Haushaltsabrechnung / Household Accounting (colour litho)

8666217 Haushaltsabrechnung / Household Accounting (colour litho) by Christophe (Colomb, Georges) (1856-1945); Private Collection; (add.info.: Haushaltsabrechnung. Translation: Household Accounting. Even in the past, the housewife kept her housekeeping diary with great conscientiousness and recorded all expenses precisely. In the 18th century, money still had a much higher purchasing power than today. In those days, groceries such as butter or meat were only paid about a quarter or a fifth of today's price, and the penny was held in high esteem.
