In this evocative photograph taken by Joe Meredith on August 17, 2013, at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll of Bristol City stands defiantly on the touchline as his team faces off against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Sky Bet League One fixture. The Avon-based club, fresh from being relegated from the Championship the previous season, were determined to make an impact in their first season back in the third tier of English football. O'Driscoll, a seasoned football manager with a wealth of experience in the English game, led his new-look squad with a steely determination. The team had made several key signings during the summer transfer window, and the fans were eager to see how they would perform against a strong Wolves side. The atmosphere at Ashton Gate was electric as the two teams took to the pitch. The stands were filled with passionate supporters, each one eager to spur their team on to victory. The first half was a closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances, but neither able to find the back of the net. As the second half began, the tension in the air was palpable. O'Driscoll could be seen barking instructions to his players, urging them to push forward and take control of the game. The fans roared their approval, their voices echoing around the stadium. Despite the efforts of both teams, the match ended in a draw, with neither side able to secure all three points. But for O'Driscoll and his team, it was a solid start to the season, and they knew that they were capable of better things. The determination and spirit on display that day at Ashton Gate would stand them in good stead as they continued their journey through the 2013-14 season.
