Ship-Queen Elizabeth

Britains new giant liner " Queen Elizabeth", the largest ship ever built at the time of her construction, is seen in New York harbor. Launched on 27 September 1938, the Queen Elizabeth was the second of the two superliners which sailed the Atlantic Ocean for Cunard Line, after serving as a troopship for World War II. She made her final Atlantic crossing in 1968. Following a fire, she was scrapped in Hong Kong in 1975. (Photo by - / AFP)
