Now, however, I understand 33 of them have been found places in local industry or with councils in the area - and others are expected to be placed soon. Among those treading new paths are second year apprentices Michael Smith, 18 (far left) and apprentice electrician Stockton, and Robert Atkin, 17, plumber, from Nunthorpe, who are now continuing their training in the repairs division of Middlesbrough Councils building department. 15th January 1987
