The Sukharev Tower, Moscow, Russia, 1902. The Moscow Baroque Sukharev Tower was built in 1692-1695 to commemorate Peter the Greats victory over the rebellion led by his sister, Sophia. It was named after LP Sukharev, the commander of a regiment of Streltsy (guardsmen armed with firearms) which fought on Peters side.
