"Football Rivalry Flares Up: Bristol City vs Wolves, Sky Bet League One (August 17, 2013) As the sun began to set on a chilly August evening at Ashton Gate, the anticipation in the air was palpable. The long-awaited football fixture between Bristol City and Wolverhampton Wanderers was about to kick off, marking the start of an intense and competitive Sky Bet League One season for both teams. The stadium, a historic and iconic part of the city of Bristol, was filled to capacity with passionate fans of both clubs, each eager to support their team in this old and storied rivalry. The Avon derby, as it is known, has a rich history and is always a hotly contested fixture. Bristol City, who had been relegated from the Championship the previous season, were determined to make a strong comeback and prove themselves worthy of a place in the top tier. Wolverhampton Wanderers, on the other hand, were looking to build on their recent signings and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in League One.
