EDITORS COMMENTS
Great print of Arsenal Football Club legend, Baptista Julio. Baptista, born on March 15,1977, in Montevideo, Uruguay, joined the Gunners in the summer of 2000. He arrived at Highbury with a reputation as a prolific goalscorer, having previously scored 101 goals in 156 appearances for his hometown club, Peñarol. Baptista's time at Arsenal was marked by his clinical finishing and ability to score important goals. He quickly became a fan favorite, with his powerful and accurate strikes earning him the nickname "The Baptizer". In his first season with the club, he scored 13 goals in all competitions, including the winner in the FA Cup Final against Chelsea at the Millennium Stadium. The following season, Baptista continued his impressive form, scoring 16 goals in the Premier League, including a hat-trick against Manchester United at Old Trafford. His performances earned him a call-up to the Uruguayan national team, and he went on to represent his country at the 2002 World Cup. Despite his success at Arsenal, Baptista's tenure at the club was cut short due to injury. He made his last appearance for the Gunners in December 2003, and was released at the end of the season. However, he remains a beloved figure among Arsenal fans for his contributions to the team's success during his time at the club. This print is a tribute to Baptista's time at Arsenal and his place in the club's history as a legendary ex-player. The image captures his intensity and focus on the pitch, as well as the iconic red and white stripes of the Arsenal jersey. It is a must-have for any Arsenal fan's collection, and a reminder of the exciting football played by one of the club's most memorable players.
