George Washington Lambert (1873-1930) was an Australian artist and portrait painter. He was born in St. Kilda, Victoria, and studied at the National Gallery of Victoria School of Art under Frederick McCubbin and Bernard Hall. He received several awards for his work, including the Wynne Prize in 1915 for his painting "The Arrival of the First Fleet". His works are held in many public collections around Australia, including the National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
