He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California. His artwork focuses on themes related to identity and culture, with an emphasis on exploring the relationship between people and their environment. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States as well as internationally. He also teaches art classes at various institutions including UCLA Extension, Otis College of Art & Design, and Loyola Marymount University. Through his artwork and teaching he strives to create meaningful connections between people by fostering dialogue about our shared experiences.
