James Bacon Collection

James Bacon is an artist and educator based in the UK. He has a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, London, and an MA in Art Education from the University of Leeds. His practice focuses on exploring identity through painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. He has exhibited widely throughout Europe and the US, including at Tate Britain, The Royal Academy of Arts and The Victoria & Albert Museum. In addition to his artistic practice he also works as a lecturer at various universities across the UK. James Bacon's work is concerned with exploring how identity can be expressed through art; he often uses personal experiences as source material for his work which allows him to create powerful visual narratives that explore themes such as gender identity, race relations and cultural heritage.
