A miniature orchid, masdevallia reichenbachiana, which is a native species unique in Costa Rica, is seen on display at the Lankester Botanical Garden in Paraiso de Cartago, west of San Jose October 28, 2010. According to Robert Dressler, the botanical garden's biologist, there are nearly 800 species of miniature orchids grown in this garden, of which 90% are endemic.
