Capsaicin molecule

Capsaicin, molecular model. This chemical gives chilies their heat and causes a burning sensation when ingested. It is a secondary metabolite of the chili plant (Capsicum sp.) and probably evolved to deter herbivores. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), oxygen (red) and nitrogen (blue)

In front of the church, the Minerva's Pulcino (Pulcino della Minerva), designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680) and carried out by his pupil Ercole Ferrata (1610-1686) in 1667. An elephant is the supporting base of one of the Rome's eleven Egyptian obelisks. It was found in the Dominicans garden
